Cabinet refacing
Edmonton cabinet refacing, doors and veneer
Refacing keeps the boxes you already have and replaces everything you see. New doors, new drawer fronts, and a matching veneer across the face frames and end panels. Your layout does not move and your kitchen stays usable most evenings.
- Doors built to your sizes
- Boxes checked before we quote
- Written quote, no pressure
What gets replaced
What Cabinet Refacing Replaces, and What Stays
Refacing replaces every door and drawer front, then covers the exposed face frames, end panels and toe kicks in a matching veneer. The boxes stay exactly where they are. If your layout already works and the frames are solid, square and dry, that is the whole job.
Drawer boxes are the exception. A drawer box cannot be refaced, so worn ones are replaced outright with new glides, and that is usually where soft-close hardware gets added. Shelves and cabinet interiors are not part of a standard reface unless you ask for them.
Hinges change too. Older surface or semi-concealed hinges give way to concealed cup hinges, which means new bores in the frame. That is not reversible, so we show you first. Where boxes are past saving we say so and quote custom cabinets or a part-reface plan instead.
How it works
How We Reface Cabinets in Edmonton
-
We check the boxes first
Before anything is quoted we open the sink base and look for water damage, swelling and racked frames. If the boxes will not take a reface, you hear it on day one, not after a deposit.
-
Doors are measured and built
Every door and drawer front is made to your openings and your overlay. Allow three to five weeks between signing and the first day on site. Nobody stocks your sizes.
-
Veneer, doors, hardware
Face frames, end panels and toe kicks get their veneer, then doors and drawer fronts go on with new hinges and glides. Most kitchens take three to five days.
-
Walkthrough and adjustment
Every door is aligned and every drawer checked before we leave. Doors settle slightly in the first month, so a return visit to re-adjust is included.
Cost and timing
What Cabinet Refacing Costs by the Foot
Refacing is priced by the linear foot of cabinet run, not by the door. In Edmonton that runs roughly $125 to $300 a foot depending on material, so a twenty-four foot kitchen lands somewhere near $3,000 to $7,200 for the cabinetry alone. Example range, not a quote.
Material moves that number more than anything else. Rigid thermofoil sits at the bottom, laminate in the middle and hardwood veneer at the top. What else pushes a quote up is broken down on the refacing cost page.
Install takes three to five days for most kitchens, and the sink and appliances stay connected throughout. The part nobody quotes is the wait before it. Doors are built to your openings and your overlay, so three to five weeks between signing and the first morning on site is normal. Anyone promising doors next week is selling stock sizes that will not fit your kitchen.

Cabinet Refacing Questions, Answered
What refacing covers, what it costs, how long it takes, and when it is the wrong call.
Veneered the end panels as well, which I had not realised was part of it. From the doorway you cannot tell the boxes are the originals.
They stripped the old surface hinges and fitted concealed ones as standard. Every door shuts flush now, which the old ones never did.
Doors were templated off the actual openings rather than assumed. Our frames are out by a few millimetres in places and it does not show.
Tidy crew and a clear price by the foot. One drawer front arrived marked and was replaced without an argument, just a week's wait.
