The small fittings are where a kitchen either works or quietly annoys you. Bins, tray dividers, spice pull-outs and cable routes cost little at install and are awkward afterwards, so it is worth deciding while everything is open.
A pull-out bin system in the base cabinet next to the sink gets opened more than any other fitting in the kitchen, so it is where the money goes furthest. Two or three separate compartments on one runner handles waste, recycling and food, and the whole lot comes out on a single pull.
Sizing it is the part people get wrong. It should be matched to how often collection happens rather than to the size of the cabinet, because a bin that fills before collection day means bags on the floor and the fitting has failed at its one job.

What Else Is Genuinely Worth It
Tray dividers turn a wasted cupboard above a fridge or oven into the only sensible home for baking sheets and chopping boards, which otherwise live on their edges falling over. Narrow pull-outs fill gaps too small for a cabinet, and a fifteen centimetre gap beside a range becomes a spice unit rather than a filler panel.
Sockets and lighting inside cabinets are the two people forget. A socket in the pantry keeps the mixer plugged in and off the worktop, and a light inside a deep or glazed cabinet is far easier to run now than later.
